Care guidance

Wig & apparel care

Use product-specific information and the actual material label as your primary guide. These notes are general and do not replace the care instructions supplied with an item.

Before you begin

Check the product page, packaging, and material label for the care guidance that applies to your item. Different fibers, constructions, adhesives, and garments may require different handling. When in doubt, ask before trying a new product or technique.

Wig handling and storage

Washing and drying

Follow the actual material label and product instructions for water temperature, cleanser, conditioning, drying, and heat. Do not assume a uniform temperature or heat setting for every wig. Allow the item to dry fully before storage, and avoid techniques not confirmed for its material or construction.

Styling and heat

Heat tolerance varies by material and product. Review the listed specifications and actual product guidance before applying heat. If no heat guidance is supplied, request confirmation rather than assuming heat styling is suitable.

Apparel care labels

For clothing and apparel, follow the care label attached to the item. The label is the source for washing, drying, ironing, and special-care instructions. Do not apply wig-care methods to apparel, and do not use a uniform wash temperature or drying rule when the label says otherwise.
